A company is a business's own account: tasks posted under its name, paid with its card, by any of its staff. It is created in Settings, has no profile, and cannot be booked; it appears only as the name on its tasks.

Creating a company requires its legal name, the name that shows on tasks, and an email address at its own domain. The member creating it attests that they are authorized to act for it, and a code sent to that address verifies the company. Until it is verified, its tasks appear under the member who posted them.

Every member at a company posts for it and pays with its card. Adding and removing staff is a separate permission, held by whoever created the company and given to anyone else there. Staff already on Renner are added by name and anyone else by email; either way the addition is pending until they accept. If nobody at a company holds that permission, it passes to any member who can receive mail at the company's domain, on confirming that address.

A company has its own team, built in Settings beside the member's own. A task posted for the company is sent to that team rather than to the poster's, so the roster belongs to the business and stays with it when a staff member leaves.

A member at a company chooses at posting whether the task is theirs or the company's. A company task is paid with the company's card and names the company on the task. The card is charged and held at booking and released when the task is complete, as on any task.

The member who posted is the person on the task: the one messages reach, and the one reviewed. A member is always paid personally. The tasks posted for a company and the record of what it spent stay with it.

A member who leaves can no longer post for the company or use its card, and the tasks they posted stay with it, along with the record of what it spent. Their earnings and reviews stay with them. A company that has posted nothing can be deleted; once it has posted, its records remain.
