Which tasks require a license

Showing and Open house require a license in every state. Rental access requires one in every state except Idaho and Vermont. Scouting requires one in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Montana, Alabama, Missouri, and Alaska. Property access requires one in New Jersey, and Property check in Mississippi.

A license-required task is flagged automatically by its address; only members licensed in that state can apply to or be booked for it. If a description reads like licensed work, the post form stops it until the category is switched or the description revised.

A licensed task does not include client representation. The member booked for it covers the task as posted, and questions about price, offers, or terms are directed to the posting member. A client’s agency relationship is not changed by the task. Both members agree to this when the task is applied for or accepted.
